Would you like to follow in the footsteps of Soho Tokutomi?
A historical exploration tour organized by the Magome Writers' Village Guide Association where you can enjoy the flowers of Catalpa while following in the footsteps of Somine.
Sanno Sodo was the residence of modern Japanese journalist Soho Tokutomi. In the garden, catalpa flowers, which his lifelong mentor Jo Niijima brought back from America, bloom in May. Would you like to follow in the footsteps of Soho and take a stroll through the fragrant Magome Writers Village?
*Blooming of Catalpa may be delayed depending on the weather.
Event dates and application period

Application: Until Wednesday, May 5th (First come, first served）
Time: 13:00-16:00 (meeting at 12:45) / 30 people
Will be held rain or shine (cancelled in case of stormy weather)
Meeting/dissolution place
Meeting: JR Keihin Tohoku Line Omori North Exit Ticket Gate
Dissolution: Ota City Folk Museum (10 minutes walk from Nishi-Magome Station on the Toei Asakusa Line)

Distance: Approximately 4km
Omori Station - Omori Kaizuka Ruins Garden - Tetsuro Watsuji - Hiroshi Shimozawa - Shiro Ozaki Memorial Hall (visit) - Sanno Sodo Memorial Hall and Park (visit) - Shugoro Yamamoto - Manpukuji Temple - Muro Saisei - Kobayashi Kokei - Ota City Folk Museum (Disband on site, free tour of the museum)
*Course may change depending on weather and number of participants.

First 30 people (we will guide you in small groups of 10 people each)
Entry fee
500 yen (including accident insurance premium)
