Restaurant Duck
Restaurant Duck, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2026, is a French and Western restaurant beloved by locals.
Currently, the restaurant is open for lunch as well as dinner, and is a hidden gem known only to those in the know, attracting fans from both the local area and far away.
The owner, Kazuo Yamazaki, decided to open a store in Kugahara after he saw a property in Kugahara in a newspaper advertisement.
At that time, Kugahara did not have the paved roads that it has today, and there were few restaurants, so they decided to move their restaurant from Shinjuku in order to open a restaurant that would become rooted in the local community and be loved by the community.
